FAQ
Report questions
What does the report cost?
$9.99, paid once. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Taxes are handled by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record, so the price you see at checkout is what you pay.
What is the refund policy?
14 days, no questions asked. Reply to the email that delivered your report within 14 days of buying it and we refund the full amount. After a refund the report link stops working.
How do I get a report?
Take the Political Compass Test or the Political Values Test. When your result appears, the offer is right below it. The report is built from the answers you just gave, so it is only offered in the browser tab where you took the test.
What happens to my answers?
At checkout you tick a box that lets us use your answers to build your report. They are then stored with your purchase only for that purpose. They are never sold, never shared and never added to research statistics. The free result never needed them, and it still does not.
Where do the comparisons come from?
From people who took the same test and chose to share their anonymous answers for research. We show an average only when at least 50 people are behind it. When a group is smaller, the report says that there is not enough data yet instead of showing a number.
Who can see my report?
Only people with your private link. The page is not listed, not indexed by search engines and only opens with the key in the link we email you. Your email address is used to send that link and a receipt, nothing else unless you opted in separately.
Is the report biased toward any party?
No. PoliticalTests is nonpartisan. The report describes your positions and how they compare, in neutral language, and never names parties or politicians. The methodology page explains exactly how scores are calculated.
Which test should I take for the best report?
The Political Values Test asks 89 statements on four axes and gives the most complete report, with all 31 issues. The Political Compass Test is shorter and covers 25 issues; its report leaves out the world affairs axis rather than guessing it.
